I just made some with a poor quality strainer bag. some of the powder fell into the water and i consumed a fair amount of that powder. is this a health problem? as far as i know you 're not supposed to consume the powder, only the liquid. (Read answers)

Ok, so first of all i would like to start off by saying i am 16, one of my questions is is pharma kava safe for a 16 year old boy? ok, so i have ridiculously horrible anxiety iv been on multiple anti-psychoticss and ssris and snris and benzos, but i do not like those pharmacuetical medications. so my mom bought me this a while back 6-8 months ago, but i never trusted it, until last night i took about 5 drops, was going to do the 40, and tasted the 5 drops and it tasted like shit. i can deal, but then my mouth started to sting and actually go numb, it then stayed numb for about 15 minutes, is this normal??? after only 5 drops of it?? and it says to do 40 up to 2-4 times a day??please help me because quite frankely after those 5 drops i could swear a felt something change in my anxiety, this could be a dream liquid for me, but please, tell me everything i need to know about this pharma kava 1 once bottle. I was just recently taken off barbiturates by my doctor and put on benzodiazapines for ptsd. i am taking 2mg ativan 3x daily and i find it impossible to sleep. so i bought this kava stuff. 250mg capsules. i tried different doses but it only works in very high doses. i take 1,500mg to induce sleep. sense i started taking the kava my stomach is very loud and my stool is black. is this a normal side effect (Read answers)

I just took a very heavy kava dose last night, very very high. i felt it and fell asleep. woke up about 6 hours later and took 2 mg ativan. is this okay or should i have waited longer to let the kava leave my system? how long since taking kava should one wait before taking a benzodiazepine like lorazepam? i felt the kava upon waking up, i felt slightly drowsy and calm from it, so i know it was still in tact. i also added the benzo and feel slightly more sedated, or it could be in my head. i 've taken the high dose kava for about 3 days in a row now but haven 't taken any for six hours but have just eaten the lorazepam. any thoughts?thanks (Read answers)

I am so utterly confused by what kava to get. i bought a little tincture of 25.0 mg of kavalactones per serving extract at the health food store and took several big squeezes out of it. i don 't know if it did anything for me, at first i felt like it might have relaxed my body but i didn 't really feel anything good whatsoever from it. in fact, my anxiety just got worse and built throughout the next morning/ day. can someone who uses and understands kava please point this ptsd patient in the right direction so he can get some much needed relief. I just bought a good brand. i read it can cause dystonic reactions. i already have muscle stiffness/ possible dystonia from taking psychiatric drugs for anxiety. the facial stiffness/ twitching has been ongoing for 2 years. i 'm wondering if the kava kava will make it worse in the long run. i want to try it for anxiety but don 't want to risk creating long term, worse problems for myself.-thanks (Read answers)
